HARUN GÜLER

Director
Harun Güler is an award-winning director and artist based in Berlin. Driven by slow-
moving imagery and genre-bending tone, Güler treads the line between narrative and
reality. His work ranges from experimental documentaries to fashion films and music
videos. Born and raised in Germany by Turkish parents, Güler’s focus remains the
subversion of cultural expectations and gender roles.
After working in post-production as a video editor in Munich, Washington D.C. and
Istanbul, he graduated with an MA in Photography from London College of Fashion,
University of the Arts London. His credits include VOGUE, GAP, Reebok, MTV,
SHOWstudio, Discovery and regular contributions to NOWNESS.

ERIK KESSELS

Designer and Curator
Erik Kessels is a Dutch artist, designer and curator with great interest in photography. Kessels is since 1996 Creative Partner of communications agency KesselsKramer in Amsterdam and London. As an artist and curator Kessels has published over 75 books of his 're-appropriated' images and has written the international bestseller Failed It!. Kessels made and curated exhibitions such as Loving Your Pictures, Mother Nature, 24HRS in Photos, Album Beauty, Unfinished Father and GroupShow. His mid-career retrospective was shown in Turin, Düsseldorf, Budapest and he exhibited this year in the SFMOMA. He was called “a visual sorcerer” by Time Magazine and a “modern anthropologist” by Vogue Italia.

IZABELA RADWANSKA ZHANK

Editorial Director of 1854 Media
Izabela Radwanska Zhang is the Editor of British Journal of Photography, and Editorial Director of 1854 Media. Based in London and of Chinese-Polish heritage, her words have appeared in Disegno and Press Association among others. She is also a guest lecturer on photography and publishing in various UK-based universities. Prior to this, she completed a MA in Magazine Journalism at City University, London, and most recently acquired a Postgraduate Certificate in Graphic Design at London College of Communication.

RODERICK VAN DER LEE

Executive Director of Unseen
Roderick van der Lee is the Executive Director of Unseen, an art fair dedicated to the newest developments in contemporary photography. He is also the founder and director of Unbound Photography, a new non-profit foundation dedicated to exploring new multidisciplinary frontiers for photography through exhibitions and research. He previously worked at Christie's Auction House and Foam Photography Museum. He is a board member of the Elliott Erwitt Fellowship and as an independent curator has curated several photography exhibitions that have been exhibited globally. He is a frequent speaker and lecturer on photography.
