À bout de souffle
Jean-Luc Godard
Michel Poiccard steals a car in Marseille and kills a policeman on the road. While escaping, he goes to Paris and finds Patricia, a young American with whom he had been with before. Patricia is an intern for the New York Herald Tribune on the Champs Elysées. While Michel is wanted by the police, an escape story begins with the dream of going to Rome. One of the most influential films of the French New Wave movement, À bout de souffle is a production that deserves to be watched again and again, not only for Godard’s guiding perspective on cinema but also for the performances of Jean Seberg and Jean Paul Belmondo which took them to the top of their careers.
