Arek Qadrra, Journey N1
Any possible story and the fictional association of certain elements, whether related or not, conceals how the objects relate to each other and to the storyline. Arek Qadrra’s Journey N1, in a sci-fi style, questions the moment of unraveling, the sudden silence, the unknown, and perhaps the state of unease that follows the turning point of a story, in terms of the virtual and the real, and the materiality of the object. It focuses on the possible variations constructed in the viewer’s imagination and its recreation each time in cycles with unknown beginning and end.
Arek Qadrra creates multidisciplinary, experimental works through sound, text, video, photography and new media. The artist’s focus is on time, space, memory, cycles, systems, telepresence and geographical redefinition. He addresses the notion of representation and aesthetics from a digital age perspective. He continues his diverse interests, research processes and practice with experimental works on landscape, body perception and meaning.
