Remembering Beyoğlu During A Stroll

Known for his work on urban memory, art historian Fırat Şenol’s travelling workshop invites participants to a guided tour of Istanbul to track down the history of photography. An interactive exploration experience is incorporated into the tour constructed around the questions, “Who took those old photographs? What can people and places tell us?” Participants will embark on a nostalgic stroll through the Beyoğlu district to create compositions and maps with photographs, an essential resource in urban memory.
