Nazlı Tuhera Moral’s solo series “Nobody, Nowhere” will be on display at NOKS Art Space between October 7 and November 5.

Moral, who continues her master’s degree in photography at Mimar Sinan Faculty of Fine Arts, focuses on the relationship between photography and memory. In her works, the photographer focuses on individuals and spaces whose rights to exist have been taken away and whose state of being has been violated, and structurally deforms the images she places in her frame. Moral, who explains the name of the series with the note: “Like dozens of people who only turn into a number in reports and death certificates, I was turning my spaces into nothingness, my characters into emptiness; a ghost. Nobody was nowhere.” Moral creates her own critical style by leaving a physical mark on her photographs.
