Istanbul Photographers and Istanbul in Photographs
How did Istanbul’s daily life, as depicted by travelers and painters, become the subject of photography and photographers, and how did it take its place in history? Arda Can Ozsu and Fırat Senol’s conversation, which dates back to the mid-19th century, presents a historical panorama of Istanbul from Pera to the Bosphorus, from the islands to Sultanahmet. The first photographers of Istanbul such as Abdullah Brothers, Bogos Tarkulyan (Phebus), Maryam Şahinyan, Sébah&Joaillier, Selahattin Giz, Faik Senol are featured.
