Historian Fırat Şenol works on urban memory, and his travelling workshop presents the story and transformation of the Karaköy – Galata districts in a broad timeframe, starting from the 1880s. This interactive experience covers Istanbul in every period and includes an exploration of spatial perception and urban perspective with period photographs. Participants will delve into the historical evolution of these iconic districts, gaining insights into how urban landscapes and cultural narratives have shaped and been shaped by the city’s dynamic history.
