Sarp Kerem Yavuz, who examines topics such as orientalism, homoeroticism, politics, religion and violence in his works, skillfully uses artificial intelligence technologies through his cinematographic perspective. The WET_DREAMS collection in the first section of the exhibition consists of works produced with the artificial intelligence engine Layer.ai. Focusing on the male body in this series, Yavuz uses an experimental visual language in the atmosphere covered with steam and smoke that emerges in the rituals of the Turkish bath. Mirror reflections, refracted images, unreal portraits turn into narratives that challenge the imagination. The second part of the exhibition consists of photographs that Yavuz has been working on since 2010, this section can also be viewed as a parallel narrative to understand the reference points and data set used in the artist’s recent works.

The exhibition can be visited at Anna Laudel Istanbul from 12.00-19.00 except Mondays and from 12.00-18.00 on Sundays, until November 5th.
