Operated by Kültür AŞ, a subsidiary of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Taksim Sanat stands out as a public exhibition space that supports independent artists through its non-profit model. Located at the entrance of Taksim Metro, it brings visibility to original productions with exhibitions and events that appeal to young audiences, while also hosting established names to engage visitors of all ages.

Reopened in 2018, Taksim Sanat presents a programme that reflects the dynamism of contemporary art, bringing together diverse audience profiles and, for some, offering a first encounter with today’s art. In the coming years, it aims to maintain its focus on young and independent artists through performance, digital and interdisciplinary art projects, talk series, open calls, and collaborations.
