Yasmine Hamdan has developed a distinctive sound blending her Pan-Arab roots with pop, poetic lyrics, electronic music, soul, and guitar-driven melodies. She first gained recognition in the late 1990s with Beirut’s pioneering indie-electro duo Soapkills, before moving to Paris and expanding her international career through collaborations with artists and filmmakers including Mirwais, Elia Suleiman, and Jim Jarmusch.

Her third studio album, I Remember I Forget (بنسى وبتذكر), released in autumn 2025, explores her connection to Lebanon and the country’s recent experiences.
