Senegalese artist Omar Victor Diop places his own image at the centre of the fragile relationship between humanity and the natural world in Allegoria. Drawing on visual traditions ranging from classical painting and West African studio portraiture to Japanese ukiyo-e prints, the series constructs contemporary allegories that reflect on environmental justice, shared responsibility and coexistence.
