When light touches a flower, beauty seems to pause, if only briefly, against the passage of time. Mother of Pearl brings together two series by Xuebing Du, in which she reinterprets flowers and natural forms through light, texture, and intimacy. Tracing beauty, fragility, and transience, the artist reimagines nature at the intersection of classical painting traditions and contemporary photography in Mother of Pearl: When Light Touches Longing and Still Life: In the Presence of Things. Sponsored by Karaca, the exhibition focuses on the quiet and timeless beauty found within the everyday.
