Renowned Magnum Photos photographer Harry Gruyaert brings together, for the first time, previously unexhibited photographs of Istanbul. Sense of Place comprises images made during the artist’s visit to the city, shown here for the first time. With a finely tuned balance of light, shadow, and urban texture, Gruyaert reimagines Istanbul as a field of visual memory.Seeing geographies not merely as physical places but as layers of time, memory, and feeling, he turns here to the city’s inner rhythm.

The exhibition is accompanied by video works that explore the visual bonds the artist forms with different cities. Screened at specific times, they offer a complementary narrative that deepens Gruyaert’s distinctive way of looking at urban space.
