Sehrin Panolari: Architecture and Public Art Through Archival Photographs

Organised with Şehrin Panoları as part of 212 Photography Istanbul, this talk explores the city’s visual memory through works of public art embedded in Istanbul’s modern architectural heritage. Looking at photography not only as an aesthetic medium but also as a tool for documentation and preservation, Nurtaç Buluç and Mustafa Ergül revisit these works through archival photographs and field research. The talk offers a fresh perspective on the aesthetic layers of Istanbul that often go unnoticed in everyday life.
