The offgrid hosts two artists who create works embracing life's colors through nature, sea, sand, and earth. Glass's light-capturing transparency and fluidity meets ceramics' earth-bound rigid, complex forms as Kurtul and Üstel draw from the same natural source, conveying their subjectivities through colors and forms. While Şebnem Kurtul incorporates all colors of the rainbow into her glass objects inspired by water-eroded stones, Tuba Üstel reaches toward magical reefs and corals through ceramic works shaped by earth's warmth.
The exhibition opens a space where differences can coexist harmoniously, introducing viewers to layered diversity born from this unity. Curated by Nilgün Kıvırcık, the works reveal life's possibilities through light reflections in glass objects, the 'secrets' of kiln-fired colors, and unusual, fluid, multi-layered forms. Deep Reflections invites everyone on a delightful journey that calls us to look both into nature's depths and our own inner depths, promising an artistic journey where invisible and supposedly unknown 'things' come to voice through colors.
