Eminonu Monochrome: 36 Exposures, One City, One Roll
Fotohaus Karaköy

Burcu Böcekler
One film. Thirty-six exposures. One route.
This workshop invites participants to photograph with a single 36-exposure roll of black-and-white film in one of Istanbul’s most historically and socially layered neighborhoods. Beginning at Yeni Cami Square and continuing through Tahtakale and across the Galata Bridge to Karaköy, the route explores the city’s historical layers and human stories through the lens of analog photography. Working with a limited number of exposures encourages participants to slow down, wait patiently for the right moment, and compose each frame with intention. After the walk, participants will develop their own film, extending the experience beyond the moment the shutter is released.
Participation is limited to 10 people.
