Led by art historian Azat Meriç, this tour offers an architectural journey along the shores of the Golden Horn, tracing the city’s history from the Genoese period to the Ottoman era. Beginning at Karaköy Palas and continuing through the historic fabric of Perşembe Pazarı, the route reveals traces of Istanbul’s multicultural heritage along the way. Participants will encounter landmarks including the Yer Altı Mosque, the Camondo Stairs, Yanıkkapı, and Rüstem Paşa Hanı, designed by Mimar Sinan. The journey concludes at the Azapkapı Sokollu Mehmet Paşa Mosque, another work by Mimar Sinan, distinguished by its elegant tilework.
