In a fictional country governed just by women, the administration has to make a decision. What will be done against the enemy’s growing nuclear threats?

While heated debates ensue on the risk of a world war, security, and inequality, tensions escalate under the pressure of global challenges. Two Minutes to Midnight questions the power in the hands of men through women gathered around a table. As the final installment of contemporary artist Yael Bartana’s interdisciplinary series, the film features fictional footage as well as recordings of experimental demonstrations and protests in Aarhus, Berlin, and Philadelphia. The film transforms into a collage that brings art and sociology closer with the inclusion of real demonstrations in a performance-like narrative.
