What Remains in Silence brings together contemporary art, history, and silence. The exhibition features works by Marguerite Bornhauser, Livia Melzi, and Alice Pallot, intertwining memory, the body, nature, and visual language.
Marguerite Bornhauser, whose work focuses on the relationship between colour and perception, invites the viewer to look beyond the visual surface. Livia Melzi fills in the missing spaces of personal and collective archives through imagination, while Alice Pallot renders ecological fragility visible through photography and installation. What unites these three artists is their shared concern with the narratives held within silence.
Rather than offering a linear narrative, the exhibition invites the audience into a multilayered, intuitive flow. Traces of migration, voids in the archive, the fragility between nature and humanity, the memory carried by the body—all these resonate within the silence of the hammam.
